2012 International Conference on Reptile and Amphibian Medicine

The 2012 International Conference on Reptile and Amphibian Medicine will take place in Cremona (Lombardia, northern Italy) from the 13th to the 15th of May 2012.
It will be a cooperation between the SIVAE (Italian exotic veterinarian association), the AG ARK (German reptile and amphibian veterinary association) and the ARAV (Association of Amphibian and Reptile Veterinarians).

The conference is the consecutive meeting of the "1st International Conference on Reptile and Amphibian Medicine" which took place in Munich 2010. It was organized by the AG ARK in cooperation with the ARAV and has been a great success (>250 vets from 27 countries). More info about the past conference (program, pictures, proceedings) can be found on www.agark.de/aravint.

The conference will cover all fields of reptile and amphibian medicine. While also scientific work will be presented the conference focuses on the continuing education of practitioners.
The most up to date information about diseases, diagnostics, therapy and surgical techniques will be shared via lectures, master classes and wetlabs.

The conference is approved by the ATF (Akademie für tierärztliche Fortbildung, the German authority for continuous education).
CE credits are accepted by the veterinary chambers of most countries.

Cremona is a beautiful small town (town of Stradivari) at the river Po and is easily accessible from several international airports (e.g. Milano International Airport, appx. 1,5 hrs). A shuttle service will be provided. Within the picturesque old town lies the venue itself, a unique conference location: Palazzo Trecchi (www.palazzotrecchi.it). This 15th's century building with several large lecture halls, several rooms for special classes and a beautiful courtyard provides the ideal space and atmosphere for our conference.

Visitors can not only enjoy the conference and the warm weather, the town itself and its surroundings (ideal for herping trips!), the best of italian cuisine and wines, but also an excursion to the world famous town of Verona (Romeo and Juliet's Balcony) and its great Zoo.
